Happy First Day of Fall! I know, it is hard to believe but I for one am looking forward to dusting off and taking out our fall decor and decorating. This year maybe, we'll even get to layer our clothing here in sunny So Cal - I hope so - but wouldn't be able to judge by today - it's hot already and predicted to be a cozy 99 degrees - uggg!
At Saige Nicole's we've already begun adding our Halloween costumes from sweet traditions to gorgeous couture tutu costumes and the demand has been immediate. Wow!
We also have the cutest Halloween themed shoes for your little ghouls and boos too! Right now as a Saige Nicole's Blog Reader save 15% off thru Sept. 30 but don't wait because these glow in the dark, google eyed darlings are only around for a short time - and on October 15th they'll be gone for good...POOF!
This weekend my 4 year old and I planted our container garden. It's something we've been talking about since our family moved and without a yard like we're used to, we were missing playing in the dirt. My husband and I took him over to our local garden center and had a great time picking planters and seeds. I thought we were going to have the common choice of tara cotta or gray planters and was so excited to find these bright, fun and completely recyclable planters! Of course we let Vaughn choose; his choices - Vivid Blue, Ceramic Green and Limeade. Totally Fun! We had to drill drain holes but otherwise these planters were perfect and really light. These are by Southern Patio and are available in 3 sizes and 6 bright colors. We chose our seeds; lettuce, carrots, red and yellow bell peppers and tomatoes, purchased a hand shovel, some soil and a lemon tree just because you can never have enough lemons and lemon flower buds smell yummy. When we got home, Vaughn's friend, Adriana, came over and we began planting. I had each child dig their holes and plant their seeds and water. We're expecting to see some results beginning in as little as 14 days with a whole lotta veggies to pick in about 3 months. Yum!
Every year our baby and toddler indie boutique designer lines do what we thought impossible...create even cuter baby and toddler clothing, gifts, accessories or decor than the year before. Mommy designer, Jenny of Monkey-toes has done exactly that. Taking her cue from the widely popular Glow in the Dark critters from last year, Jenny has added 3 new sassy and fun characters just in time for Trick or Treat; Playful Pumpkins, Batty Bats, and Crazy Counts. Each character has Glow in the Dark eyes, are hand painted making them uniquely individual and are available in a tennis shoe with corkscrew laces for easy on and off and the classic Mary-jane. If you're loving these shoes as much as we, hurry because they are only available until October 15, and then they vanish...POOF!
